Delhi government launches chatbot: Delhi is in the middle of a severe pollution crisis. The city’s air quality index is currently at an alarming 631, which falls into the “severe” category by US standards.
To help combat this issue, the Delhi government has launched a chatbot and one-stop website to keep people informed about what they can do to fight pollution.
The minister also announced the launch of a one-stop website, www.delhifightspollution.in , which will provide information on air pollution levels in New Delhi.
Delhi government launches chatbot, ‘Paryavaran Saathi’ chatbot is an initiative that has been started to encourage people to be more mindful of environmental concerns.
People can share the steps they are taking to fight pollution on WhatsApp number (9650414141), and they will receive points for doing so. The top 100 performers will get awards, said Rai.
“They can share the steps they are taking at the local level to fight pollution. For instance, if they are using public transportation, they can share pictures and if they are forming nukkad (street) teams to fight pollution, they can tell us about their programme,” Rai said.
There is also a mobile app, ‘Delhi Environment Line’, which provides information on the various measures being taken by the government to fight pollution.
Delhi government launches chatbot:, The app also lets people know about what they can do in their personal capacity to reduce air pollution in Delhi. The application is available for Android users on Google Play Store and iOS users on Apple App Store.
The Delhi government has also decided to put up advertisements in newspapers, radio, and TV channels regarding the anti-pollution measures taken by it.
