Chatbot Payments Feature: eZ Cash, Sri Lanka’s largest mobile money platform by Dialog Axiata PLC, has partnered with Rakuten Viber to launch chatbot payments for the first time in Sri Lanka.
Dialog Axiata PLC is the largest mobile money platform in Sri Lanka and recently announced its newest partnership with Rakuten Viber. The first time for chatbot payments in Sri Lanka will be launched by this mobile money platform. The platform ensures secure transactions take place with greater ease.
Dialog Axiata PLC has over 20 million customers and is the second-largest digital payment service provider in South Asia after India’s PayTM Mobile Wallet, having achieved 16% market share within six months of launch.
The eZ Cash Viber BOT will mark its debut as the first chatbot payment feature in Sri Lanka launched by a mobile money platform and will ensure secure transactions take place with greater ease. This partnership is expected to provide an easy way for users of both platforms to send cash to each other.
The bot will have two services: PYU (Pay You) and PAYA (Send to Any Mobile Number). PYU allows peer-to-peer payment facilities to all registered eZ Cash customers.
Chatbot Payments Feature, PAYA is a service that enables users of both Viber and eZ Cash to send money using just the recipient’s mobile number or ‘@ezcash.lk’ ID, no matter where they are in Sri Lanka.
Dialog Axiata’s CEO, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya stated that “This partnership with Rakuten Viber is a continuation of our strategy to provide digital payment solutions for the mass market. It provides an easy way for users of both platforms to send cash to each other.”

Chatbot Payments Feature, The eZ Cash Viber BOT is currently available in the Google Play Store and will be available in the App Store very soon. Anyone citizen above 18 years of age with a valid national identity card or passport will be able to use the platform.
